Board of Directors
From the Board President, Mike Fox
Dear Friends of the
Our Mission Statement at the Kokomo Rescue Mission states:
The
the homeless, hungry, and hurting of North
At the Kokomo Rescue Mission, we believe that restoring lives can begin with a single meal and allow the broader Body of Christ to minister and interact with people. We believe that all people should have an opportunity to experience a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
There are several ways that you can help us be a part in changing people’s lives as they move towards a walk with Christ. You can help by donating money or items of clothing or household items. You can make a special gift as a tribute to a loved one or even include the Kokomo Rescue Mission in your own estate planning. We can assist you with any arrangements if necessary. Most of all, we need your prayers for all who walk through our doors. This includes the outstanding staff that serves every day and all the residents who seek shelter and those who come for a hot meal. You can also volunteer for any of our special events throughout the year or just come and serve a meal.
We appreciate all who stand with us and support us in the ministry. In our most recent fiscal year ending June 30, 2011, our total income and revenue was $2,965,736. Of this amount, cash donations were $1,434,331, in-kind donations were $1,014,994, store sales were $456,064, and recycling income was $60,347. The real measure of the ministry, however, is not in what was received but in what was given away. This can not be measured in dollars and cents, but in such intangibles as hope restored, lives changed, and faith restored. Only God can keep an accurate record of such things, but the testimonies of those served and the evidence of lives touched give us assurance that God is blessing the ministry.
We Praise God for the ministry and thank all of our donors and staff members for their service to Him.
