number served in 2008, since January 2009, the number of
meals served has increased by another 14%, or 20,000
more meals by the end of this year!

Seek Help From Mission in 2008!
- In 2008, Kokomo Rescue
Mission served 121,501 meals, a 15% increase over 2007!
- Open Arms, the Mission's
shelter for women and children served 50% more children
in 2008 than in 2007.
- The number of nights of shelter provided
for men, women and children was 22,978, up 14% over 2007.
- The Mission's Red Ribbon Christmas
Outreach served 3,440 people with food and gifts, a 29%
increase over 2007.

purpose is to minister the love of Jesus Christ to the whole
person through RESCUE ministries.

Fast Facts
- Opened in February 1953 to
serve the needy in North Central Indiana.
- Services available 24
hours a day, 365 days a year.
- Services include men's
shelter, women & children's shelter, public dining
room, free clothing, and holiday outreach programs.
- Helps over 250 people each day
- Cooperates by referral
with other social services, mental health and judicial
agencies.
- Not funded by United Way
or government; depends on the contributions of
individuals, businesses and churches for support.
