Volunteer Appreciation Lunch - Wednesday April 24, 2013
The Mission Staff is working to set the date for the Annual Volunteer Appreciate Lunch, the date has been set for Wednesday April 24, 2013. This annual luncheon is a small token of thanks to our amazing team of volunteers who assist the Mission Staff throughout the year.
May Matching Gift Campaign - May 2013
The May Matching Gift Campaign is become an annual campaign. For 2013, we will again be looking to "match" our challengers' donation pledge of $25,000. With the May Matching Gift Campaign, each dollar donated upto $25,000 is matched dollar for dollars so your gift quickly doubles as does the impact of that gift.
For online donations, watch for the Matching Gift option on the giving page starting on May 1. If you are mailing in or dropping off your donation, please indicate that the gift is for the May Matching Gift Campaign. The mailing address for gifts is: Kokomo Rescue Mission, P.O. Annual Community Birthday Party - June 19, 2013
On Wednesday June 19, 2013, with the help of our friends at St Luke's United Methodist Church, the Mission will host it's annual Community Birthday Party in our Dining Room. There will be cake and ice cream served at both lunch and supper to celebrate each dining room guest's birthday. The Mission staff always looks forward to this event, and this year's event is no exception!
Beef Up the Mission! - July 2013
July is the time of year when most of us are enjoying the warm weather of summer. It is also time of the year that countless faithful donors help support the Kokomo Rescue Mission at area County 4-H Fairs by purchasing steers and hogs at the livestock auction. Those donors then announce to the auctioneers "Send it to the Mission" - which is like music to the ear. The meat from the donored livestock helps the Mission stock it's freezer for the upcoming year.

EASTER March 31, 2013 - "Full Meal Deal" Sunday
A collection of non-perishable sources of protein such as: canned beef stew, canned pasta with meat, hearty soups, canned tuna and "helper," peanut butter, mac & cheese.
June 30, 2013 - "Undy" Sunday
A collection of new underwear for school age children.
September 29, 2013 - "Disposable" Sunday
A collection of paper products such as: toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, tissues, disposable diapers.
December 29, 2013 - "Squeaky Clean" Sunday
A collection of cleaning products such as laundry detergent, bleach, glass cleaner, all purpose cleaner, disinfectant spray, liquid dish detergent, toilet bowl cleaner, bath soap and shampoo.
