Director of Development
We are seeking a vibrant and dedicated Christian with a heart for the homeless, hungry, and hurting. This candidate must be able to articulate and communicate our vision and mission with integrity and professionalism. They must have proven skills in fundraising, marketing, and nurturing long term relationships with donors. Strong writing, oral, computer, data analysis and administrative skills are essential. Familiarity with social media marketing and not-for-profits would be preferred. This person should lead with a servant’s heart, inspire team unity and strategically plan while remaining flexible to change. FULL TIME with BENEFITS.
Director of Retail
The Kokomo Rescue Mission Director of Retail must have a vision for the retail operation to be an outreach to the community. Proceeds raised in our store and from recycling unsold items provide needed funds and resources to assist the homeless and hungry.
This position requires oversight and direction of the Care & Share Store Manager, Warehouse Manager, Manager of Recycling and Production Manager as needed in their daily duties. Requires implementation of guidelines to enforce efficiency, orderliness, and cleanliness of entire Retail Operation. Responsible for overseeing the transferring, ordering, and selling of supplies and in-kind donations to ensure timely merchandise rotation, and liquidation of unusable items. Additional responsibilities would include analyzation of data and implementation of appropriate action/changes, assistance in planning and development of yearly financial goals, pursue opportunities for growth and overseeing the development of appropriate advertising goals. House Manager
The purpose of the Manager of Watered Garden (WG) Women’s Ministry is to help create a safe and healing environment for women in a Christian environment. Primary responsibilities include administration responsibilities, leadership responsibilities, spiritual responsibilities, have professional conduct, and provide good customer care. Must be a spiritual leader to guests and staff, have good leadership skills and CPR certified. High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with two or three years experience in related field.
Food Service Specialist
Candidate must strive to provide a loving Christian atmosphere and nutritious meals to the public and residents who cannot afford to maintain cooked meals at home. They must have the ability to work in harmony with other staff members, be committed to unity, and possess biblical respect for the mission’s leadership. They must be able to train and mentor the residents and volunteers serving in the kitchen and ensure that the kitchen meets Servsafe and Heath Department regulations and operate efficiently. Must be able to supervise people and work well with the general public. Needs to have knowledge of proper food rotation and inventory. Three years previous experience in food preparation preferred. Must be ServSafe certified within three months of employment.
