Director of Development
We are seeking a vibrant and dedicated Christian with a heart for the homeless, hungry, and hurting. This candidate must be able to articulate and communicate our vision and mission with integrity and professionalism. They must have proven skills in fundraising, marketing, and nurturing long term relationships with donors. Strong writing, oral, computer, data analysis and administrative skills are essential. Familiarity with social media marketing and not-for-profits would be preferred. This person should lead with a servant’s heart, inspire team unity and strategically plan while remaining flexible to change. FULL TIME with BENEFITS.
Food Service Specialist
Candidate must strive to provide a loving Christian atmosphere and nutritious meals to the public and residents who cannot afford to maintain cooked meals at home. They must have the ability to work in harmony with other staff members, be committed to unity, and possess biblical respect for the mission’s leadership. They must be able to train and mentor the residents and volunteers serving in the kitchen and ensure that the kitchen meets Servsafe and Heath Department regulations and operate efficiently. Must be able to supervise people and work well with the general public. Needs to have knowledge of proper food rotation and inventory. Three years previous experience in food preparation preferred. Must be ServSafe certified within three months of employment.
Women’s Shelter Manager
Women’s Shelter Manager works with the Director of Women’s Ministries to help create a safe and healing environment for women and children in a Christian setting. Primary responsibilities include administration, leadership, spiritual guidance. The candidate must have professional conduct, and provide good customer service. Must have a sense of discernment in assessing situations based on verbal and non-verbal cues, and ability to adapt to working with those from all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. Candidate must be a strong spiritual leader and possess administrative yet relational skills and be able to guide a team. College and management experience preferred.
The Options Specialist of Kokomo Rescue Mission Watered Garden Women’s Ministry helps create a safe and healing environment for women in a Christian setting. Primary responsibilities include administration, leadership, spiritual guidance. The candidate must have professional conduct, and provide good customer service. Must have a sense of discernment in assessing situations based on verbal and non-verbal cues, and ability to adapt to working with those from all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. with two or three years’ experience in related field. *Part – Time * Second Shift with alternating weekends.
Merchandise Analyst is responsible for working in an team atmosphere to sort and move in-kind donations from the reception of the goods to the appropriate place. Candidate will be playing a vital role in providing needed items for those in need as well as generating funds to support the ministry. Ability to mentor residents and volunteers and be attune to safety issues is important. Experience operating a baler and fork lift a plus. Three years of previous retail experience and administrative office work preferred. Satisfactory completion of High School requirements or GED.
