Back to School Assistance – New Shoes, Socks & Undergarments July 20-23

Back to School Assistance will be here next week!
Qualified students, 5-18 years old entering K-12th grade, will receive brand new shoes, socks, and undergarments for the coming school year. The Kokomo Rescue Mission, in partnership with Crossroads Community Church, General Motors and other area churches, invites income-qualified members of the community to come “shop” for free back to school shoes for their students. Students and siblings will also receive a voucher for school clothing from our fully stocked Care & Share Store.
Dates & Locations To Receive Assistance:
Tuesday, July 20 – 3:00 pm-7:00 pm – Taylor Elementary School, 5500 Wea Drive
Wednesday, July 21 – 3:00 pm-7:00 pm – Carver Center, 1030 N. Purdum Street
Thursday, July 22 – 10:00 am-1:00 pm & 3:00 pm-6:00 pm – Grace United Methodist Church, 219 W. Mulberry Street
Friday, July 23 – 10:00 am-1:00 pm – Grace United Methodist Church, 219 W. Mulberry Street
We Need Your Help, You Can:
- Volunteer to help with the event – set-up & clean-up and during the event.
- Purchase socks, T-shirts, panties/underwear, boxers/briefs (remember many children wear adult sizes) – drop off items at the Mission Office.
- Make a Monetary Donation to purchase new shoes, socks and undergarments – online or by mail.
