From time to time, the Mission holds special events to raise support for specific programs, highlight an urgent need, or celebrate the holidays. Coming out to these events, or even volunteering at one, is a great way for you, your family, or a group you’re part of to really make a difference for our neighbors in need! Last year we introduced, Walk Where You Are, as an option for teams to walk at different times and places as it was convenient for them. Once again we will be offering this as an alternative to the Walk A Mile In My Shoes event held at the Mission on Saturday, February 26.- 8:00 am – 10:30 am. The Walk A Mile In My Shoes event is our main fundraiser for our Women’s Ministries and helps support our two shelters – Open Arms (women and women with children shelter) and Watered Garden (women’s shelter). Start getting your teams together now!
