Volunteers are the heart of so many of Kokomo Rescue Mission’s outreach programs … and we’d love to have you join us! Whether you help serve a meal, prepare items for Red Ribbon Christmas Boxes, or assist with office tasks, it’s ALL important to spreading help and hope in our community. Learn more about upcoming events here, or read the sections below.
How do I become a volunteer?
At the Kokomo Rescue Mission we are excited to have those that align with our STATEMENT OF FAITH and are willing to give of their time and talents.
Once we have received your application, our Volunteer Coordinator will be in contact with you soon!
How often would I have to volunteer and how many hours would I have to give?
You may spend as little as two hours serving a meal, or you could spend an entire day in any area such as Open Arms, our shelter for homeless women and children, or in the Red Ribbon Christmas event. We will do our best to match you with an area of interest and the time you are available. Some may want to volunteer weekly or monthly or only for special events.
Is there an age requirement?
To serve meals, you must be at least 15 years old if you come without a parent or adult sponsor. Other projects are available for children under 15 if there is adequate adult supervision. Call the Volunteer Coordinator at 765-456-3838 for suggestions.
