Ways to Give

There are many ways to support the Mission and help the individuals and families we serve throughout North Central Indiana, from donating to or shopping at our thrift stores to remembering us in your prayers. However you’re able to help, we thank God for you!

Three of the most effective ways to help our neighbors in need are to volunteer at the Mission, take part in our special events, and support the Mission financially.

Need a receipt for tax purposes?

If you would like to receive a receipt for tax purposes, please print and complete the Estimated Valuation Guide. If you would like to keep a copy, please print two and our driver will sign them at the time of pick-up.

Don’t forget to get your receipt signed when you make your donation. We will not be able to validate donations by signing forms sent in later!

*If you itemize deductions on your federal tax return, you may be entitled to claim a charitable deduction for your Kokomo Rescue Mission donations. According to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), a taxpayer can deduct the fair market value of clothing, household goods, used furniture, shoes, books and so forth. Fair market value is the price a willing buyer would pay for them. Value usually depends on the condition of the item. By law, a charity cannot tell you what your donated items are worth. We have provided the estimated valuation form to help you determine the value of your items.

Give Essentials

Your generous donations of food, cleaning & hygiene products, and other household items saves money that we can then devote to our other life-changing ministries. We’re very grateful to the individuals, families, churches, businesses, and others that choose to support our work in this way.

Assets, Charitable Fund, & Legacy Giving

What will your legacy be?

We will all leave a legacy, something that will be valued and treasured by the next generation. Our legacy will reflect on those things we’ve learned over the course of our lives. It’s our personal story; our accomplishments, beliefs, actions, and guidance given over the years. Consider how your legacy can live on by making a financial gift to the Kokomo Rescue Mission. Your gift will help to provide years of support for “the least of these.” To learn more about the impact your legacy can make, click here to read some of our Resident Stories.
