THE KOKOMO RESCUE MISSION HAS ROOM FOR YOU!

24 hour shelter is available for men, women and women with children 365 days a year.

No qualification needed!

Free meals are served everyday in our Dining Room located on the east side of the building at 321 W. Mulberry St, Kokomo, IN.

Meal Times:

Lunch is served from 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm

Dinner is served from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm

We offer emergency shelter accommodations for men, women, and women with children at the Kokomo Rescue Mission.

We have dedicated programs for both men and women to help you get back on your feet, regain your independence, advance your education, acquire new job skills, and grow in your faith. We also have longer-term residential programs that offer assistance with recovery, counseling, and other individualized help.

Men

The men’s entrance at 321 W. Mulberry (East door) is open for check in at 4:00 pm or call 765-456-3838. You will be asked a few questions to see how we can best serve you.  You will need to bring your photo ID, birth certificate and Social Security card. If you don’t have these, no worries, we will help you obtain those important documents  Our space is very limited, please do not bring a lot of items, no weapons etc.  You will also be asked to submit to a drug test; however, this result will not necessarily prevent you from being accepted.


Women

Please call 765-319-3660 or 765-456-3077.  You will be asked a few questions to see how we can best serve you.  You will need to bring your photo ID, birth certificate and Social Security card. If you don’t have these, no worries, we will help you obtain those important documents.  Our space is very limited, please do not bring a lot of items, no weapons etc.  You will also be asked to submit to a drug test; however, this result will not necessarily prevent you from being accepted.


Women with Children

Please call 765-456-3077.  You will be asked a few questions to see how we can best serve you.  You will need to bring your photo ID, birth certificate and Social Security card. NEED FOOD, CLOTHING OR OTHER THINGS?

We can also provide grocery, clothing, houseware items and personal care items to neighbors in need through the Mission’s Assistance Program. To apply for these, you’ll need the following:

  • Photo ID for the person making the application
  • Social Security Card for each member of the household
  • Proof of Income – any ONE of the following items:
    •  Previous year’s IRS 1040 form.
    • Letter from Family Service showing approval for Food Stamps (SNAP) and the date approved.
    • Current Food Stamp (SNAP) card AND a grocery receipt less than 30 days old showing a balance greater than $0.00.
    • A recent award letter from Medicaid, TANF, WIC, SSI or SSD OR a letter stating the application has been filed for government assistance.
    • A copy of applicant’s lease or most recent re-certification letter showing the applicant is living in subsidized housing.

  1. Complete the application.  Areas with an * are required fields.  You will not be able to submit the application if these fields are not completed.  After you’ve completed the application, click ‘Submit Application‘.
  2. You should see a “Thank you” message and you will receive one in your email as well.  Someone on our Assistance Team will be in touch with you shortly.
  3. You will be asked to submit proof of income and other documents to qualify.
  4. A confirmation email will be sent once you have successfully completed your application and qualify for assistance.
